The Thirst
Indie and soul isn't usually mixed together, but when it is you get something that sounds like The Thirst. This London 4 man band is just bound to do well with their catchy, indie riff filled songs, sung by Mensah Cofie-Agyeman who has the similar soulful voice to Kele from Bloc Party. I reckon this band are one to look out for ;]

Howling Bells
I was watching Howling Bells' performance at the 02 Wireless Festival on MTV2 and even though they're not my kind of band, they did actually look really good. Listen to these if you're into ambient, folk, indie. That's how I'd describe them. The female singer has an amazing voice and they look great live too.

Speaking of festivals, I'm going to my first music festival this summer; Underage Festival in Victoria Park on the 8th August. It's called Underage cause it's only for 14-18 year olds and it's only the second year running. It's mostly indie/electro bands like Maccabees, Foals, Mystery Jets and The Horrors but Dizzee Rascal and Gallows are also there. Expect a review on it sometime after ;)
